Fozzy Book Fall 2022 Tour With No Resolve + GFM

Fozzy frontman Chris Jericho is not only touring the country with a microphone in his hand and guitarists at his side, he is also traveling the road as a wrestling star for AEW. This is all the more impressive since the 53-year-old started grappling at just 19-years-old and has now been performing with the band since 1999. Starting off with a heavy riff and building into the modern rock sound, this is one of the newer songs of the band.

Going back to his early wrestling days, Jericho says he “did a kid’s birthday party once for a hot dog and an orange juice. That’s my best payoff. But you do all those ones. I mean … some of the places we worked were so shitty. I remember a guy taking a shower out of the back of a toilet.” Pro-wrestling’s gain will be the rock scenes loss when the evergreen, and multi-careered, Jericho returns to the squared circle to continue his day job. Though we can be hopeful that Fozzy will be his main interest when he hangs up the wrestling boots; and thankful that his bandmates are involved in a range of projects to tie us over until Fozzy return. Boombox is the follow-up to 2017’s Judas, and Fozzy’s eighth studio album. Farley (Trixter) has been playing bass with the band since 2020, with the newest addition being drummer Grant Brooks (Through Fire). The lineup is rounded out by Jericho and guitarists Rich Ward and Billy Grey.

On the day of “Spotlight”‘s release, FOZZY will play a very special “Spotlight On London” live show at London, England’s iconic O2 Forum Kentish Town. The concert will be FOZZY’s biggest to date, and completing a killer lineup, they will be joined by special guests MASSIVE WAGONS and the KRIS BARRAS BAND. August 25 will also be the on-sale date for FOZZY’s yet-to-be-announced February 2024 U.K.

Fast forward to the present touring wasteland due to the events that have enveloped most of 2020, it seems only fitting that this now superstar outfit would lend their talent to the Live-stream craze. Reviving most of the same set list that made up their previous tour, the Capturing Judas Livestream Event would combine a cinematic experience with a more down to earth, up close and personal performance from the band’s recording studio. We were calling it Chinese Fozzocracy because of the pandemic. You didn’t want to put out a record without being able to support it. We put the record out and three songs went Top 10, three more songs went over great live and the other three songs went to the Fozzy Dead Song Graveyard. And that was a shame, because all those songs were great.

Shadows for this song, ‘Sandpaper’ gives more of an atmosphere of nu-metal and heavy metal combination.

Then three more of the songs we play live, and then the rest of the songs kind of end up in the Fozzy ‘dead-song graveyard.’ So I’m wondering in the future if releasing a full record is the way to go. As announced by AEW, Fozzy — the heavy metal band voiced by Jericho — will be hosting a concert at London’s O2 Forum Kentish Town on Friday, August 23.
